So, our team has gathered a list of amazing companies and organizations that are contributing to the war against COVID-19. 1. GoCar x Shell: Thank You, Healthcare Frontliners
GoCar has partnered with Shell Malaysia to provide free cars and petrol vouchers for our healthcare frontliners. All the cars are professionally sanitised and contain in-car antibacterial wipes to ensure a safe drive.

2. GoCar For Delivery
To support local businesses in this challenging time, GoCar is also offering all Nissan Almeras in its fleet at RM30/day, their lowest rate to date exclusively for this initiative. GoCar for Delivery is available to any business that is in need of cars to fulfill deliveries, including supermarkets, online grocers, cafes, and restaurants.

Lend a Hand with Daily Necessities

3. Free Meals for Frontliners
Aiming to raise at least RM28k, this is an initiative to deliver fresh and healthy food to medical professionals that are on duty around Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Each day, based on donations, 50 lunch and 50 dinner meal sets will be delivered to these two locations to doctors, nurses and medical professionals.

4. Pit Stop Community Cafe 
The Pit Stop Community Cafe was set up with the goal of minimising food waste as well as assist the less fortunate through food, essential services and training with the ultimate aim of reintegration into conventional society.

As their operations are affected by the MCO, they’ll need some help to pull through this period of time whilst continuing to help as many people as they can.

5. NGO Hub Emergency Fund
Many of our homegrown NGOs are struggling to manage the impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting MCO on their daily operations. Unable to carry out the usual programs that sustain them financially, these organizations are also experiencing a setback in donations and volunteers.

The NGO Hub Emergency Fund seeks to help keep these organizations afloat whilst they continue in their efforts to help others in need despite facing challenges themselves.

6. #KitaBantuKita: Bantu Jiran Kita
This campaign takes into account struggling families whose head of household has suffered pay cuts, loss of a job, had their children laid off, or other implications that have been brought on by the outbreak.

In hopes of reaching out to at least 500 families in need, this effort is a collaborative effort of 4 NGOs that aims to raise about RM200,000 to cover the expenses of such households for the period of the MCO.

7. SESO Malaysia 
Now more than ever, volunteer and distribution efforts to the homeless and needy are suffering.

The goal here is to gain support from as many sponsors and partners as possible in order for SESO Malaysia to continue having a supply of food in a time where the homeless are left hungry from the temporary closure of some F&B businesses, movement restrictions and social distancing.

8. The Lost Food Project
During the MCO, The Lost Food Project is experiencing limitations to collect necessities from their wholesalers, so they are hoping to work with everyday Malaysians to help with collecting food such as fresh produce, rice, noodles, cooking essentials (oil, flour, etc.), and more.

At the moment, their goal is to collect essential food items (through a drop off at their KL warehouse) and to reach their goal of RM100,000 in monetary donations.

9. Rumah Kita
Rumah Kita is an organisation that provide abandoned single pregnant mothers with basic housing, maternity and baby care. Throughout the period of the MCO, they;re looking to amass essential food items to help feed pregnant, single mothers.

They list out all ingredients that they need periodically on their Facebook page, but also accept monetary donations through this bank account to pay the mothers’ medical bills, overall utility bills of the shelter, and other fees.

10. Refuge For The Refugees
They are an organisation that supports the livelihood of refugees in Malaysia who have also been similarly affected by the MCO (those who have lost jobs, lost an income to bring home food, etc.). They have successfully raised funds to cover grocery aids for 1218 families in Phase 1. They are looking to raise another RM60,000 to support 1000 families in Phase 2 of grocery aid.

According to their team, a donation of RM60 would be able to support one family for 2 weeks!

Help Provide Medical Equipment!

11. COVID-19 Appeal: Hospitals In Sabah Need Your Help
This campaign aims to raise RM500,000 in funds to gain access to items such as isolation gowns, N95 masks, shoe and headcovers for medical frontliners in Sabah.

Since these protective gears are disposable (up to 300-600 pieces used/day), they’re required in bulk. With the raised funds, the organisers hope to procure these supplies in order to start distribution to several hospitals around Sabah, starting with Tawau Hospital.

12. KKM Established Fund
Our very own Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) is looking to gather enough funding to buy medical equipment tools, medication and other medical material to meet the demands needed by the ministry and its facilities.

13. Malaysia COVID-19 Charity Drive
The organisers are looking to locate funds to provide frontliners with face masks, COVID-19 test kits and more ventilators to be used by patients in serious conditions.

At the moment of writing, their goal is to raise about S$164,944 (RM501,348).

14. COVID-19 Support Fund by 100% Project
This project focuses its goals on the purchase of protective suits, surgical masks, and face masks to be distributed across hospitals

15. 3D Printing Malaysia Community for COVID-19 
This group is made up of a community of people who are using 3D printing technology to produce face shields to be distributed to hospitals in need.

Currently, they are focused on getting donations of raw materials like A4 plastic sheets, PLA filaments, rubber bands, plastic bags, and so on. 

They’re also encouraging other 3D printing enthusiasts to donate their own time or raw materials.

This is a campaign launched by Fave to help local FNB businesses stay alive. You can purchase eCards from your favourite restaurants or shops and use it later (within 6 months). 100% of the money you pay on an eCard will go directly to help these businesses.

This company launched voucher books on their  Shopee and Lazada pages as a means of donating to sustain front liners ( help healthcare workers obtain medical supplies ) during these trying times. 18. Projek Wawasan Rakyat x Kiddo Care
This project seeks to raise funds for babysitting services that have been subsidised up to 90% for doctors, nurses and other medical frontliners while they are on duty.

19. Love Your Neighbour Penang
Besides monetary help, this charity allows you to volunteer your service by picking up or delivering groceries, finishing administrative duties such as calling people and replying messages, and in any other way, you’re comfortable helping.

Their services are meant to help the needy in Penang (odd job workers, the elderly, orang kurang upaya (OKU) community, minimum wage workers, etc.) that require assistance during this time.

20. Caremongering Malaysia (Community Response To COVID-19)
Caremongering is a Facebook group established with an emphasis on helping the elderly in any possible way.

his group encourages younger, more abled people to extend their efforts to check on elderly neighbours, get supplies, shop for groceries, deliver food, etc. for those who are unable to perform such duties at the moment.
